Serving Collinsville and the Metro East

Collinsville, IL's Roofing, Siding & Window Team

Collinsville is a different state and a different set of rules than most of our Missouri jobs. We work both sides of the river, and we know which rules apply here.

EXTERIOR WORK BUILT FOR COLLINSVILLE HOMES

Collinsville sits in Madison County on the Illinois side, and that one fact changes more than the drive. Different state code, different permit office, different rules than any of our Missouri jobs. We’ve worked both sides of the river long enough to know the difference doesn’t slow a job down — it just means someone has to actually know it, instead of assuming Illinois works like Missouri.

The Metro East gets hit by the same storm systems that cross St. Louis, sometimes on the same night. The EF-3 tornado that tore through Clayton and Richmond Heights on May 16, 2025 continued east across the Mississippi and caused documented damage in Madison and Granite City, a few miles from Collinsville. The area has logged 23 hail reports within ten miles of town in 2025 alone, the largest at an inch and three-quarters — golf ball-sized, big enough to crack a shingle mat outright rather than just bruise it. [We inspect before we quote, and the inspection is free whether or not there is a claim in it — CONFIRM policy before publishing.]

Siding

We install the Royal Dura Technology vinyl system. If your home is in Collinsville’s Uptown district, the city requires a heavier 0.044-gauge vinyl than most of our Missouri jobs use — we stock it, so that’s never a delay. [VERIFY}

Windows

Our own crew measures, orders, and installs every window — no subcontractor standing between you and the people doing the work.

COLLINSVILLE, ILLINOIS: A DIFFERENT SET OF RULES

Collinsville is in Madison County, Illinois — not Missouri — and that means a different building department, a different code, and different permit rules than any of our Missouri service areas. Homeowners who’ve had work done on the Missouri side sometimes assume the same rules carry over. They don’t.

The city does not require a permit for standard residential siding replacement. The one exception is the Uptown district, where a heavier 0.044-gauge vinyl siding is required by city code. Roofing isn’t spelled out as clearly in the city’s public guidance — if you’re unsure whether your specific job needs a permit, Collinsville’s Building Department will confirm directly at 618-346-5200.

We pull whatever permit a job actually requires, on either side of the river. We handle insurance claims start to finish, including meeting your adjuster on site.

COLLINSVILLE ROOFING QUESTIONS WE GET ASKED

Yes, and we do it on most storm jobs. We’ll meet your adjuster at the house, document the damage, and work with what the insurance approves. Several of our Collinsville customers have had full roof replacements covered with nothing out of pocket beyond their deductible.

Most single-family homes in Collinsville are a one-day job — tear-off and new roof between morning and evening. We clean the site thoroughly before we leave; customers regularly tell us they can’t find a single nail in the yard afterward.

Most residential siding replacement doesn’t require one, except in the Uptown district, which requires 0.044-gauge vinyl. Roofing isn’t clearly addressed in the city’s public guidance, so we confirm with the Building Department before starting any job where it’s in question.
