Siding for St. Louis Area Homes
Casey Exteriors installs two siding systems: LP SmartSide, an engineered wood siding treated to the core for hail and moisture, and Royal Vinyl Siding by Westlake, a low-maintenance vinyl that never needs painting. Two materials means we can match the right siding to your home, your budget and how much upkeep you want, instead of selling you the only thing we carry.
Family owned since 1996. Compare both lines in person at our Arnold showroom.

Signs You Need New Siding
Fading, chalking or peeling paint
Vinyl and ExpertFinish siding never need repainting. If you are painting every few years, it may be time to switch materials.
Warped, cracked or loose panels
Panels that buckle, crack or pull away from the wall let water behind the siding.
Rising energy bills
Old, thin or gapped siding lets conditioned air escape and outside air in.
Visible rot or soft spots
Soft or discolored areas near the bottom edge or around windows point to water getting behind the siding.
Mold, mildew or moisture stains
Persistent staining that cleaning won't remove is often a sign of trapped moisture, not just dirt.
You're tired of the upkeep
If you are done scraping, caulking and repainting, a low-maintenance material may be the better fit.

Which is better, LP SmartSide or Royal Vinyl siding?
Neither is better for every home. LP SmartSide gives you the texture and grain of real wood, an engineered wood system, and hail damage coverage built into its warranty. Royal Vinyl never needs painting, carries a Double Lifetime Warranty and is rated for high winds. We price both at your estimate so you can compare.
Do I need to paint LP SmartSide or Royal Vinyl siding?
Royal Vinyl never needs painting. LP SmartSide with ExpertFinish, LP’s factory-applied color system, doesn’t either; only the primed, paint-ready LP SmartSide option needs paint, and that’s your choice if you want a fully custom color.
Is either siding rated for hail and severe weather?
Yes, in different ways. LP’s warranty covers hail damage up to 1.75 inches in diameter when properly installed and maintained. Westlake rates Royal Vinyl’s wind resistance up to 200 mph on select profiles.
How long do the warranties last?
LP SmartSide carries a 5/50 Limited Warranty: 5 years of full labor and material replacement, then prorated material coverage through year 50. Royal Vinyl carries Westlake’s Double Lifetime Warranty. Ask us for the full warranty documents for either line.
Do you install full siding replacements or just repairs?
We handle full siding replacements in both LP SmartSide and Royal Vinyl. If you have a smaller repair, ask us at your estimate and we’ll tell you what’s realistic for your situation.
