Serving AFfton and South St. Louis County

The Roofing, Siding & Window Crew Affton Already Knows

Affton has no city license to check, which is exactly why you should ask any contractor for one. We’re registered with St. Louis County, and we’ll show you the paperwork.

Exterior Work Built for AFFTON Homes

Affton is not a city. It is an unincorporated community of roughly 20,400 people spread across the Concord and Gravois townships of south St. Louis County, built out mostly in the postwar decades with brick ranches, additions, and enclosed porches layered on over the years. There is no mayor, no city council, and no local building department. There is St. Louis County, and there is us, and we have worked this stretch of the county long enough to know exactly how that process runs.

Affton has sat close to the worst of it twice in recent memory without taking a direct hit — the March 2025 tornado that tracked through Arnold and Mehlville passed north of here, and the EF-3 that struck Clayton and Richmond Heights in May passed north again. A near miss does not mean a clean roof. The same storm systems that spared Affton the headline still dropped hail on it, and hail damage does not announce itself the way a torn-off roof does. It bruises the mat under the granules and waits. [We inspect before we quote, and the inspection is free whether or not there is a claim in it — CONFIRM this is standing policy before publishing.]

What We Do in Affton

Roofing

Tear-offs, replacements, and hail and wind repair, all documented for an insurance claim if you need one. Most jobs here start and finish the same day.

Siding

We install the Royal Dura Technology vinyl system and match trim and soffit to what’s already on the house — a real concern in Affton, where additions and enclosed porches often carry different siding than the original build.

Windows

Our own crew measures, orders, and installs every window no subcontractor in between you and the people doing the work.

REPLACE or delete this line — a sentence about how much work you do in town.

63123 Affton — Patio Door and Window Replacement

Pulled the old slider on this Affton ranch and set a new vinyl patio door with a full screen, wrapped and trimmed clean. Better seal, better operation, a lot more light into the back of the house.

63123 Affton — Full Exterior Transformation

The brick got painted, both gables and the garage face got new black board and batten, the garage door came out for a new one, and the gutters and downspouts went black to match. Same footprint, completely different house from the street.

Project 3 headline — replace

REPLACE. Two or three sentences: what the problem was, what you did, and anything notable (one-day job, insurance covered it, matched original siding). Name the road or subdivision, never the full street address.

Affton Permits, Explained

Ask a contractor in Affton for a city roofing license and you’ll get a blank look — there isn’t one. Affton has no city government to issue one, so the permit and the licensing both run through St. Louis County instead, and the requirement is just as real.

A re-roof here needs a county building permit, inspected against the 2015 IRC with the county’s own amendments. No city license to check doesn’t mean no one is checking — it means the checking is on you. Ask any contractor for proof of insurance and whether they’ll pull the county permit. A vague answer is an answer.

AFfTon Roofing Questions We Get Asked

Yes, and we do it on most storm jobs. We’ll meet your adjuster at the house, document the damage, and work with what the insurance approves. Several of our Affton customers have had full roof replacements covered with nothing out of pocket beyond their deductible.

Our shop is on Jeffco Boulevard in Arnold, so for an active leak in town we can usually get someone out the same day to tarp it and stop water getting in. The permanent repair gets scheduled after that.

Most single-family homes in Affton are a one-day job — tear-off and new roof between morning and evening. We clean the site thoroughly before we leave; customers regularly tell us they can’t find a single nail in the yard afterward.
