Roofing, Siding & Windows in Festus, MO

From golf-ball hail to chalet-style gables, Casey Exteriors has been repairing Festus homes for over 26 years. Locally owned out of Arnold since 1996.

Exterior Work Built for Festus Homes

On May 8, 2024, golf-ball-size hail hit the Festus area. It shattered windows in the West Ridge Subdivision, and one State Farm agent’s office had more than 200 customers file claims in a single day, according to local news reports. Ten months later, on March 14, 2025, the National Weather Service logged a quarter-size hail report one mile south of neighboring Crystal City. Hail like that dents shingles and knocks off granules without leaving a hole you can see from the street, so a roof can look fine and still be wearing out.

Festus was founded in 1878, grew out of Crystal City, and today has about 12,700 residents. The homes we work on here are not cookie-cutter: stone chimneys, covered porches, bay windows, arched windows with shutters, and gables that need careful trim. Jobs tend to come in together here. A roof, the siding and the porch soffit all meet in the same few feet, so we plan them as one project.

Festus Permits: What to Ask Before You Start

The City of Festus says that any project considered a “substantial improvement” requires a building permit, and that any project involving replacing or installing framing, plumbing or electrical does too. Its own page also notes that some home improvements do not require permits while others do. It does not list roofing, siding or windows by name, so the safest move before work begins is to call the Festus Building Department at 636-937-6646.

We handle insurance claims start to finish, including meeting your adjuster on site. Bill has customers whose parents’ houses were jobs back when the company started.

Often, yes. Many homes need all three looked at around the same time, and doing them together means one crew, one schedule and clean transitions where they meet. Tell us what you’re seeing and we’ll scope it as one job or as separate steps, whichever suits your budget.
