Versetta Stone Siding for St. Louis Homes
Versetta Stone gives your home the look of hand stacked stone without the mortar, metal lath and scratch coat that traditional stone veneer needs. The panels interlock and fasten with nails or screws, with a rainscreen built into the back. Casey Exteriors measures, installs and finishes every Versetta Stone job ourselves.

Stone Character, Siding Style Installation
Stone is one of the most requested exterior upgrades, and one of the hardest to install well. Versetta Stone is Westlake Royal’s answer: a manufactured stone siding that goes up like panels, so the finished look comes without a masonry crew.
- Looks like real stone. Two hand stacked profiles with a range of greys and warm beiges.
- Installs like siding. Interlocking tongue and groove panels fasten with nails or screws, with no mortar, metal lath or scratch coat.
- Built for drainage. A 1/4 inch rainscreen and pre drilled weep holes are part of every panel.
- Year round installation. With no mortar to cure, Westlake says it can be installed in any weather.
The install still matters. Flashing, water management and clean terminations decide how a stone wall performs in St. Louis weather. Casey Exteriors handles all of it, with cleanup and haul away included.
Ledgestone and Tight-Cut
Versetta Stone comes in two profiles. Each is a full panel system with matching corners and trim, so you can choose by the look you want for your home. We bring samples to your estimate.
LEDGESTONE
Staggered layers and a rough cut face, modeled on dry stack and sandstone. Westlake positions it to balance materials like brick, stucco and wood.
TIGHT-CUT
Pieces fit tightly together in a random ashlar pattern, modeled on quarried limestone. It reads as a more refined, formal stone.
Seven Colors, From Greys to Warm Beiges
Westlake offers Versetta Stone in seven colors. Granite Peak, Lunar Drift and Glen Canyon are new additions for 2025. Screens, trim and accessories come in coordinating shades, and we will help you match the stone to your siding, roof and trim.
Printed and on screen colors vary from the real panels. We bring samples to your estimate so you can judge them in your own light.
Accents, Entries, Wainscot and Column Bases
Westlake lists Versetta Stone for any structurally sound vertical surface, inside or out. Many homeowners add it as an accent that raises curb appeal, then pair it with siding for the rest of the house.
Accent walls
A stone panel on the front elevation or around the garage adds contrast to vinyl or engineered wood siding.
Entryways
Frame the front door with stone for a stronger first impression from the street.
Wainscot
A stone base course with a matching wainscot cap and sill gives the lower wall a heavier, grounded look.
Column bases and piers
Westlake makes finished edge corner panels for columns and a 22 inch pier cap. See our porch column page to pair them.

Panels, Corners, Trim and Accessories
Versetta Stone is a system, not just a panel. The pieces below are what turn a stack of panels into a finished wall, and we price and install all of them.
- Flat panels: 36 by 8 inches, 2 square feet each, with four screws per panel
- Universal Corner panels: finished edges for inside and outside corners, wall ends and columns
- Pier cap: 22 by 22 inches for piers and columns
- Trim stone, wainscot cap and sill: for window surrounds and the top of a stone base
- J channel and starter strip: for clean terminations at the top and bottom
- Made from fiber reinforced concrete, certified to contain at least 50 percent recycled content.
- Flame spread index of 0 and smoke developed index of 0.
- Built in rainscreen with weep holes for drainage.
- Evaluated under ICC Evaluation Service report ESR-2859.
- Designed to withstand freeze thaw cycles. Ask us for the product data sheet for the test results.
Performance statements are Westlake Royal's. Results depend on proper installation over a structurally sound wall.

Stone Looks Best Paired With the Right Siding
Most stone projects are an accent on a home that also gets new siding. Casey Exteriors installs all of these, so one crew handles the whole exterior.
What is Versetta Stone?
Versetta Stone is a manufactured stone siding made by Westlake Royal Building Products from fiber reinforced concrete. The panels look like hand stacked stone but interlock and fasten like siding, so they go up faster than traditional stone veneer.
Does Versetta Stone need mortar?
No. Westlake designed the panels to fasten with nails or screws, with no mortar, metal lath or scratch coat. Because there is no mortar to cure, Westlake says the panels can be installed year round.
What colors and profiles does it come in?
There are two profiles, Ledgestone and Tight-Cut, in seven colors: Northern Ash, Plum Creek, Granite Peak, Lunar Drift, Mission Point, Glen Canyon and Sterling. We bring samples to your estimate.
Can Versetta Stone go on my existing home?
Westlake lists it for any structurally sound vertical surface. At your estimate we check the wall and sheathing first, because proper water management behind the stone matters as much as the stone itself.
Can I combine stone with new siding?
Yes, and it is a common approach. Stone often works as an accent over vinyl or engineered wood siding. Casey Exteriors installs Royal Vinyl Siding and LP SmartSide, so one crew can handle the stone, the siding and the trim.
Does it have a warranty?
Westlake lists a 50 year warranty for Versetta Stone, and its brochure footnotes that term to the galvanized nail strip. Ask us for the full written warranty so you have the exact terms and coverage in writing. Casey Exteriors also backs the installation with our own workmanship warranty.
